Site assessments are completed for every new oil and gas disposition submitted
to the consultation office.
Prior to conducting the assessment, the plans are reviewed against our existing TUS database. A site visit is then completed with a Swan River field director, land users and elders using the Swan River consultation truck and ATVs. Sites of significance are recorded during assessments through field notes, camera, and GPS. Information from site assessments are inputted into the TUS database. The consultation manager works with proponents to mitigate impacts recorded during site assessments.
